It works in the short term, for some people anyway.
Pros: you lose weight
Cons: it’s short term. Too much cabbage is 1) gross and 2) causes diarrhea and gas (how you lose weight). You gain the weight back when the diet becomes unpalatable. You lack some nutrients, so not good for long term. I’ve done it, ask again about the gas. Urg.
It probably won’t hurt you, so give it a try if you want. However, I’ve recently lost good, permanent weight with a balanced diet (not boring, yay!) with lots of fiber. Exercise is a must, even if you have to start small, like 10 minutes of walking each day. Healthy weight loss should be 1-4 lbs per week, depending on how overweight one is at the start. I would classify myself as conservative but come on, people are protesting the rates of the previous party/government.
