What Is The Best Way To Attach Skirting Board To The Wall?
I need to put new skirting board on in my daughters bedroom but I have always had trouble with this in the past in other rooms. The main reasons for this are:
* The inner wall is not made of bricks or breeze blocks, but these ceramic tile bricks which are VERY tough.
* A lot of the plaster has fallen away behind the old skirting board
In the past I have tried several things and while they all worked (in the end) can help thinking there has to be a better way. The things I’ve tried are:
* Screwing it on, but the plaster is so crumbly in places this is impossible with out very long screws
* Patching the plaster, and gluing it on, but this is time consuming
* Nailing it on, but the ceramic tiles are very hard to nail into

How Do I Hide Wires Behind Skirting Board?
Im getting new flooring and skirting board done, and would like to hide a few wires behind skirting board. I
cant put it bottom of skirting because i need to leave a gap for my solid wood.
I would like to make a space in the wall to slot the wires into, so the skirting would sit on top nicely.
Whats the best way to go about this, or have you any other ideas?

How To Seal Ends Of Laminated Fibre Or Particle Board (melamine)?
I used some with a nice wood grain covering around the bath. I painted the ends with water based exterior paint but moisture has got in and is swelling the top edge. Any advice on redoing and making the exposed top edge waterproof appreciated.
