What Are The Pros And Cons Of The Cabbage Soup Diet? Does It Actually Work?
It works in the short term, for some people anyway.
Pros: you lose weight
Cons: it’s short term. Too much cabbage is 1) gross and 2) causes diarrhea and gas (how you lose weight). You gain the weight back when the diet becomes unpalatable. You lack some nutrients, so not good for long term. I’ve done it, ask again about the gas. Urg.
It probably won’t hurt you, so give it a try if you want. However, I’ve recently lost good, permanent weight with a balanced diet (not boring, yay!) with lots of fiber. Exercise is a must, even if you have to start small, like 10 minutes of walking each day. Healthy weight loss should be 1-4 lbs per week, depending on how overweight one is at the start. What Do Toning Exercises Actually Do?
I’m a little confused as to what toning exercises actually do – I know they firm the muscles, but do they make the muscle more bulky, or make them more slim?
I’m a classic pear shape – the top half of my body is nice & slim, yet I curve out at the tops of my thighs. Is it possible to slim my thighs down with toning exercises, without losing any weight – I’m 5’8 and weigh 130lbs, so I wouldn’t really want to lose any.
