Put Youtube Movies On your own iPod Twice every week, I choose to flick thru YouTube and download some

Maybe once or twice weekly, I love to browse through YouTube and download some the latest “must see” clips onto my iPod to share with my wife (who just lacks the patience to go through all the skateboard tricks, playground fights, and “teen” diaries). It used to be a chore to download and convert those videos, but during the last just a little while, a flood of little helper applications have hit the world wide web.

I’ve actually been meaning to evade to recommending a portion of the YouTube download programs here, but anytime I sit down to start writing I realize that to be a Mac user, it’s difficult for most people to recommend a software program for almost all of my readers, who definitely are Windows users. Yesterday, Lifehacker recommended a site that simply not only downloads any YouTube Flash video file, but in addition converts it into your choice of five different formats, including iPod mp4. Vixi.net’s FLV Online Converter is amazingly easy to use, and works directly from your browser. Just enter the URL of a typical video’s webpage, choose format you wish it changed into, and press the start button. The download and conversion are surprisingly quick, and as soon as it’s finished Vixi automatically downloads it into your computer. Simple.

There exists bunch of good content on YouTube, but copyright infringement claims and DMCA take-down notices mean that a specific video can disappear at some point. Having a local copy of the video means you will not lose access if YouTube removes the flick by consuming a site. Of course if you reshape the recording to MP4 format, you are able to transfer this maker to your iPod too.

Following through with this seems like in compliance with YouTube’s Relation to Use, as long as you don t distribute the videos to others, so you retain any copyright notices on your files (see sections 2A and 4).

There are two excellent free services that take YouTube videos, download them to your hard disk drive, convert these to MP4 format and add them to be able to iTunes. For Windows users, try iTube, available here. Mac users should use PodTube, although it requires the use of Safari.

But you have to would love to get entry to the file and examine it directly (the VLC media player will play flash-format video files) and/or convert it to another file format, you are able to download any YouTube video using Oyoom, or look on the Firefox extension called Video Downloader. We’ve also written our own tool to download YouTube videos, usable with this page, and it’s also embedded below. Just enter any YouTube video URL and hit the “Get Video” button.

youtube video downloader free After you have the .flv video on your own hard disk drive, view it with VLC, or convert this maker to another format. For Windows users, try Replay Converter. For Mac users we recommend iSquint. There are also a few online file conversion services, but they are not as reliable as desktop software and you’ve maintained to allow for both the upload along with the download youtube video downloader free.
