What To Do About Tiny Hairline Scratches All Over My Car?

I have all my car as if the previous owner repeatedly washed or dried the car with a dirty rag and the dirt scratched the car. The scratches are very tiny and only visible when something is reflecting on the pain (lights or the sun).
What can I do these scratches? The only solutions that I’ve seen are abrasives that actually some of the paint, and I don’t really want to do that.
The car is a ’99 Grand Prix GTP Sedan, red in color.

Meguiar’s Ultra Finishing Polish … that should do the trick!

i had a black 99 GTP. and i always just went to autozone and got a good polish and a good wax. Wash your car first and then take the time to polish it and wax it. It is a pain in the *** but they should come right out. Nice car man!

You could pray to the scratch gods and hope they go away.
Or you could buff them out with polish.
    Your choices are limited.

I used to have a black truck and it would get those micro scratches/swirls. I used either the Meguire’s or Mother’s 3 step process. The first step is a cleaner, the second step is a polish, and the last step is the wax. It is time consuming but the paint was perfect when it was done.

DO NOT WAX YOUR CAR! that will burn your clearcoat! get yourself a mild rubbing compound- they are abrasives made to heat up and smooth out the clearcoat on your car. unless your clear is already burned on your car there is little chance that it will pick up the paint. also watch what soaps you are using on your car- soaps with heavy degreasers like the drive-thru carwashes have are murder on your clearcoat; the tiny scratches that you see now can easily be removed and the process is really not any more complicated than waxing your car.

there is an infomercial that sells a magic marker type thing. that you draw over the scratches, and they disappear. 2 markers for $19.95
maybe GOOGLE ” Magic Marker that fixes car scratches” or something like that………. should come up with it.
    good luck, Joe
