A water ager neutralizes chlorine in the water. Stress Coat and similar products usually do this, and they also contain ingredients (such as epsom salt, for example) that stimulate the fish’s mucous “slime coat” for more protection against parasites and skin infections. It’s most useful when fish have gotten an injury due to handling or to encounters with other fish.
Water ager does not seem to be a very commonly used term on here but to anyone who is wondering it is just another name for tap water conditioner.
To tell you the truth stress coat is just overpriced water ager with added aloe vera (which has not actually been proven to help fish.) You only need to add one.
I buy a 500ml highly concentrated pond chlorine remover for my tanks and it only costs me $15nzd ($9.60900usd)

My Aquamaster water ager neutralizes chlorine and adds electrolytes. Do i still need to add a stress coat product for my cichlids?
