The thing a suit has over that combination is that a suit is made from the same fabric so they always match. I used to wear dress pants and sports coat but the hues of black didn’t quite match so if you looked close it doesn’t look that good. I think you should invest in a suit. Go to an outlet they should be having sales this time of year.
A good suit with a nice pair of shoes is never a bad investment. You can wear it to any nice occasion. They are expensive but they are worth it, and you will feel like a million bucks wearing it.
Plus, don’t forget, you should dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Meaning, if your approach to work is professional and you make an investment in yourself, you are making an investment in your future. Good luck!

It is great, but it will not hurt to invest a suit. I love professional men

Does it still look formal, or is it too casual? I would be getting this for work. I work at a bank.
