I Have Trouble Keeping Her Smelling Gd And Her Coat Shiny. Now She Has Bumps All Over Her. What Should I Do?
She is an american pit bull terrier age 1yr. She now has red spots all over her feet, neck and stomach. She also has bumps developing on her back, tail and buttocks. I have given her baths after baths, and nothing seems to keep her from smelling bad. And it seems like every time I give her a bath, the bumps burst and blood comes out of the bumps. Does these bumps mean she has some type of parasite or what? I need help as of yesterday.

Hi, my pit has the same thing ,the vet said it is a food allergy,
he gives her a medication called Simplicef 200 mg 1 a day
for 21 days it costs about $50.00 she ‘s ok for awhile then it comes back. What color is she ? Mine is white. Let me know if you find help other than medication from your vet.
Good luck

She could be getting bit by ants depending on where you live. But you can try bathing her every other day in Head and shoulders shampoo. lather her well massage her coat for 5 minutes rinse well . if this doesn’t help her and you see no differnce I would take her to the vet to have her skin scraped, give her some benedryl to help soothe he and use cool water not hot when bathing her. good luck.

It sounds like she has mange. I would get her to the vet and get it treated. If you wait too long, its almost impossible to get rid of and she will just be in pain the rest of her life as the mange will be in all different stages of life, once you get the adults its hard to get rid of.

STOP bathing her so often (you are probably only aggravating her skin even more) – try baby powder for the smell.
We have an American Bulldog (part of the Bull family) and she has red bumps on her belly. We took her to the vet and
were told it was just a type of heat rash – he gave us ointment. We also purchased an over-the-counter anti-itch spray to keep her from aggrivating it more by scatching it.
I would suggest you go to a vet and get a proper diagnosis on your dog. She could have a skin allegy (to fleas, grass, the heat, etc….) – but only a professional vet can tell you. Pay the cost for the first visit so you can know what is wrong with your dog….and then, via the Internet, you can research it yourself.

I think you should take her to the vet. It sounds like she may have mange but even if that isnt the case she could be having an allergic reaction to something. The best thing to do is take her to the vet!

Every answer you are going to get will be the same thing. I can tell you from experience everyone will tell you to call the vet and make an appointment.
When you say blood comes out of the bumps is it b/c you are squeezing them or is it comin gout all by itself. I was going to say perhaps it is hives, however, I am confused with the blood.
