How Often Do Cloth Diapers Need To Be Changed?
My baby is 2 months old and is currently wearing her first ever cloth diaper!
The thing about it is she pretty much constantly wee’s. So i put the diaper on her and 5 minutes later she wets it. How often should I change??
Thanks

Pretty much as soon as you notice it’s wet, until you get used to how long you can leave them I would strongly recommend changing hourly, then slowly dropping the frequency until you are changing her about every 2-3 hours.
They learn pretty quickly that a wet diaper is uncomfortable in cloth and learn how to control their bladders a LOT earlier than kids in disposables do, my son’s at the point where he is urinating at about the same frequency as I go to the toilet myself.

Please change it as often as possible you will have a happier baby and it will make you rest easier knowing she’s clean, dry and rash free. Also, since she’s a girl you don’t want her to get an infection. If you have to switch to a disposable until she gets older then that’s ok too. Just stay away from Pampers with Dry Maxx. You have to change it just as often as you would change a throw-away diaper…you can’t let your infant wallow in its filth.

It should be changed every time it’s wet.
Cloth diapers don’t absorb like disposables, so the wetness feeling is instant.
Yay for using cloth!

Every time the diaper is soiled, if a child is left with a dirty diaper frequently then they can develop bad rashes and it’s just not sanitary.

You should change wet diapers every 2 to 2 and a half hours. Obviously change dirty ones as soon as they happen. You can change a little more often if you like, but the best thing to do for a baby who constantly pees is to make sure they have a stay-dry layer next to the skin, such as a fleece liner (pocket diapers often already have a layer like this built in).
Good luck with the cloth!
