How does soaking a cloth in egg whites and placing it on the soles of your feet draw a fever away?
Please explain using the concept of protein denaturation
I have been stumped on this quesiton for days and whoever gets a reasonable answer is most likely a genius.

There is no reasonable answer because it doesn’t work! It’s an old wives tale.

Ok, how many times are gonna post this?? I’ve never heard of this treatment and can’t imagine that there is any validity to it. Just another wives’ tale, probably.

there is no concept of protein denaturation, it is just an ancient chinese method used to reduce fever. the egg white can also be spread directly onto the chest and forehead, so that the whites act like a heat drawing medium, just like the same way commercial products are designed to be (like putting wet towels or clothes like products). main action is draw heat away from the body, especially from forehead
egg whites are just a cheap simple but smelly way, not much scientific reaction though….
