What i usually do, is go to walmart and look thru their sewing department books looking at patterns and try to find something that closely matches or that can be used as a base but slightly altered by hand.if you have a sewing machine that cosplay can be done fairly easy

Hi there! Thank you so much for helping me out!
Alright so for Halloween this year and possibly comic-con next year I want to make my own costume based off of an anime character.

Anyway if I’m starting from nothing, how would I start making a costume like that? Also what would I need? I could probably figure a few things out, but some advice and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
