How Can I Make My Sweaters Smell Better After Drying Them?
When I normally do laundry I use laundry detergent, fabric softener and then dryer sheets in the dryer. I like my laundry smelling really good. But most of my sweaters are hand wash, and then lay flat to dry. And when I dry my sweaters by laying them flat they don’t smell all that great, and I wondered if anyone knows of any tricks I could use?

Get some Downy Wrinkle Releaser. It is designed to remove wrinkles, but it also softens and freshens clothes. Just spray it on when the sweater is dry.

For your delicate hand washed sweaters, put your dried sweaters in the dryer with a very slightly damp towel at low or no heat options, and use the dryer sheets (Bounce). Let things toss around for 10 minutes and things come out perfect without shrinkage, etc. It takes out that “air dry” smell.

I’ve used woolite for my hand washed items it smells pretty good. I guess you could put dryer sheets in the inside of the sweaters while drying them or febreeze. It’s supposed to be used on linens and such. Hope this helped. I too like my laundry to smell nice. Good Luck.
