Would Someone Recommend Some Books I Might Enjoy?

Well first, I love the horror genre… I’ve a lot of Dean Koontz and Stephen King… Though I like King’s earlier stuff the best.
I’ve reading Anne Rice vampire chronicles, with little luck. Loved Interview with the Vampire, then took me forever to get through Lestat… Her writing style is too… Wordy…? Maybe…
I love crime mysteries, and my favorite author and in this genre is James Lee Burke’s Dave Robicheaux novels.
I’ve read very few of the “classics”. To Kill a Mockingbird and The Gatsby. I loved both.
I’m interested in reading some books with werewolves as main characters. Are there any? BESIDES Twilight. I am NOT interested in reading those in the slightest.
I am not into vampire novels any , whatsoever.
I am not to big on romance.
I’m not to big on teen books, but I could give it a try I supposed…
A list of books I know I liked:
Intensity – Dean Koontz
The Shining, Carrie, and Salem’s Lot – Stephen King
Harry Potter
Interview with a Vampire – Anne Rice
Fiend – Jemiah Jefferson
In the Mist, Pegasus Rising, and Last Car to Elysian Fields – James Lee Burke
Of its actually a much larger list.. I just don’t feel as if I want to go through and think and type them all..
Thank you for any suggestions in advace! :)

You can try Dennis Lehane, Richard Matheson, or Bentley Little. All three are horror/ suspense writers.

The only adult werewolf series I can think of is Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong. It starts out pretty slow, but it does get much better. The first one is Bitten.
Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill is very good. More of the horror genre, with a supernatural leaning. By King’s son.
The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. They’ve played with the vampire myth a bit, but not in a Twilight Way. http://www.thestraintrilogy.com/ Check out the book trailers under Multimedia.
Only crime novels that really interest me are the hard boiled kind. Dashiell Hammett and James M. Cain and Raymond Chandler. The Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep and The Postman Always Rings Twice were really good.

Falling Angel by William Hjortsberg. Re the book, Stephen King says, “Terrific…One of a kind…I’ve never read anything remotely like it.” Otto Penzler in the New York Sun considers it to be “the single most original private eye novel ever written.” I can’t vouch for that because I’m not a private eye buff but it is one of the most suspenseful and original books ever written for sure. http://www.nysun.com/arts/devilishly-ori…http://bit.ly/FallingAngel

    Hi
After reading all that, you have given me inspiration for books I might like.
You are already a Stephen King Fan but did you read the Bachman books? probably telling you something you already know but Stephen wrote a few stories under the pseudonym Richard Bachman…there were 4 stories in the one book i read but I loved ‘Rage’ and ‘The Long Walk’ (which is my all time fave King book)…also Gerralds Game, Pet Cemetery..and Cujo very good…you’ve read these right? lol
I’ve never read a James Lee Burke book but I will now thank you.
    Crime Stories I liked:
Two Women, Dangerous Lady, The Runaway, Goodnight Lady – Martina Cole (anything by her really)
    Kaitlyn – Kevin Lewis
    A Grave Talent – Laurie R King
    Blindsighted – Karen Slaughter
I know you said you don’t like twighlight but the House of Night series is pretty good…about a Vampire school…by PC Cast and Kristin Cast.

One of my fav authors is Ken Follet or Jeffery Archer. Both very good writers that draw you in and you cant put the book down once you have started. No werewolves in these I’m afraid but a good read none the less.
    Try:
A place called freedom by Ken Follet
Kain and Abel – Jeffery Archer
    Hope this helps
