Which Drugstore Foundation Is Better?

Here’s a description of my skin:
I’m 14 years old and I have combination skin; oily nose and dry . My face is relatively smooth but I have a few acne . I get the occasional pimple. My forehead is a bit darker than the rest of my face. I tan easily. I have warm/yellow undertones (I’m asian)
The only foundation I have ever used is L’oreal True Match in Buff Beige. It gave a matte finish but looked terrible on me. I have tiny little hairs on my face (peach fuzz) and the foundation made it more prominent. I think it’s medium coverage..? It looked really cakey on my face and I applied it in 3 different ways, using moisturizer everytime. I even spritzed on my face after but it still looked bad
I’m looking for something with a light coverage and dewy finish. My face looks too dry when it’s matte. I don’t want it to clog my pores. I want a foundation that will look natural because I don’t need a lot of coverage(just for acne scars) and I’m only 14.
The 3 foundations I’ve looked at are Almay Line Smoothing Makeup, Almay Smart Shade, and Revlon Colorstay. I’ve used the Almay Smart Shade concealer before. That was the first concealer I ever used. I remember my mom complimenting me, saying how smooth my skin looked. Isthe foundation anything like the concealer? What kind of finish does it give?
I heard the Almay Line Smoothing foundation was good for beginners. But I also heard it’s recommended for dry skin.
Lastly, everyone raves about the Revlon Colorstay foundation. But I’m unsure with this one. I heard it gives a medium-full coverage but is natural looking? I don’t need that much coverage but the ‘natural’ jumped out at me. I think it’ll be harder picking the shade for me because I have no experience with that.
So, what are your thoughts and opinions?
I’m foundation because of a semi-formal dance. It’ll be about 3 hours so staying power has to be okay.
I’ll take any other recommendations :)

Check out Physicians Formula “Mineral Wear”. PF has an organic line that is clean and sheer too.
Remember less is more in your application. If you have an inch of good skin barely apply foundation there. Use concealer where needed and be sure to apply blush to the apples of your cheeks. Then blend blend blend!
    Hope this helped. Have fun!
