What Type Of Fertilizer For Lawn? 10-20-10? 34-0-0? Or What?
I see several different formulations of fertilizer at store, but what is best to make grass grow. I have sprayed my yard with weed killer and now all that is left is bermuda grass,, I’d like to get it to spread and fill in the bare spots this summer. A guy at the store said he uses 10-20-10 on his garden,, but is this best for grass too?

If a lot of people answer this question, you’re gonna get a lot of different answers. Common fertilizer as we know it today contains Nitrogen, Phosphate and Potassium (Potash). Thus N-P-K. Nitrogen gives plants their rich green color, it also stimulates leaf growth. Phosphate is important for normal root development, also vital for plants to take up water and nutrients. Potassium helps plants better tolerate extreme weather conditions.
So if you want some rapid growth in your lawn, use more Nitrogen. 34-0-0 would definitely cause rapid growth. So stick with something like 10-10-10.

to make it easy for you.the combination fertiliser you buy at the shops all contain- from left to right.- nitrogen– phosphate– potash– nitrogen makes your leaves grow– phosphate–roots–and potash flowers–so if you want to make your plants spread use a high phosphate fertiliser
