My Story So Far——-written By An 11 Year Old?
“Hey Gabs!” Holly hopped in front of the rock her twin sister was perched upon. Gabriella’s eyes flickered up, saw the glint of want in Holly’s eye, and looked back down to the book she was reading. Holly plopped down onto the sidewalk below Gabriella. She sat for a while, fiddling with the rocks and clumps of dirt around her, and waited for her Gabriella to glance at her again.
Soon Holly became impatient, and started the pleading. “Oh, Gabriella will you please walk down with me to the market I need to get eggs and milk for Mom and I don’t want to walk alone! I’m…I’m AFRAID!” Gabriela barley looked up from her book “Afraid of what, Holly?” she muttered. Holly didn’t know what to say, she wasn’t really afraid of anything…so she just jabbed at her sister “Gabriella, if you read non-stop like this your brain will forget the world around you and turn to mush, and mush-brains have no friends.” Gabriella rolled her eyes and said nothing. Holly tried a few more comebacks, but Gabriella just got up and walked to the backyard, and without looking up from her book she shouted “I’m going to finish this book today, Holly! Your not gonna finish until the last days of Summer, but I’ll be done!”
Holly knew that Gabriella was trying to finish her Summer reading and everything…but she could play it out like she always did. Just rush through it in the last two days of summer and skip a few chapters…It always worked out OK. But Holly let her sister do what she please.
The rock skittered across the sidewalk and landed in the grass. Holly was about to bend down and place it back onto the sidewalk so she could continue kicking it but a bright purple van pulled up with a teenage girl about 17 years old driving in the front. The girl was average looking, she had a light blonde hair with pink stripes with a nose ring—it was a stud. She was pretty, the kind of girl you expected to be chewing gum and blowing bubbles and laughing with her friends at all time. “Hey…” the girl said, quick and quiet, as if there was a big secret that she was about to spill with only a short amount of time. “Hi.” Holly said, in a shy, but bubbly voice, as she fiddled with her belt loop.
Teenagers rarely ever stopped their car to talk to her, the only time they did was if it was her older brother and his friends and they needed some extra money. But this girl, she seemed like the popular kind. The type of person who could get your name out there fast-whether what she was saying was good or bad. And this could maybe, maybe make her the most popular girl in the 7th grade. She would be the one best friends with the teenagers…right? well, thats what was running through her mind at the moment.
The girls sea green eyes were flickering from Holly to the street corner, as if she was sending her a secret message. But there was something odd about this girl. Her personality was not matching her look. Her eyes had more of a panicked glint in them, and as soon as there was a grunt in the back the girl made sort of a whimper and tried to fake another peppy smile…but her voice was in a rushed mono-tone. “Uhm, yeah well there is a little baby i’m babysitting in the back and she keeps crying. I think she might have threw up, but my seatbelt is stuck. Do you mind just taking her out of the cradle and handing her to me?” The girls eyes didn’t seem as if she needed help with a baby, but they had the same pleading glint as Holly’s when she had asked Gabriella to come with her. “Well I have to go get some stuff for my mom, and…I don’t even hear a baby.” Holly said, not wanting to go near any throw up. “Please. I need your help.” This time the girl said it in a regular, genuine, needs-some-help, voice, like she was about to start sobbing and crying, like everything in her life was just taken away from her with one big mistake. And actually-that was true, but it was not because of a baby.
Holly felt bad for the girl, and even if it did mean having to smell the smell of vomit–this could actually help Holly become a lot more liked among the older kids. “Uh, yeah sure I will help you.” Holly said, leaning closer to the back door of the girl’s purple van. The girl didn’t seem any bit more delighted about Holly helping, she actually knit her brow and looked to the corner of her eye, like someone just forced her to trick a young girl to a sudden innocent fate.
Holly opened the door to the van, and honestly, she couldn’t recall exactly what happened. First she climbed in, and screeched. Some man, who she didn’t even notice was back there, hit her head with something, maybe a golf club, maybe a bat, maybe a chunk of wood, she didn’t remember. She gasped and fell to the ground, and weakly lifted her hand to her head, feeling so much blood that she expected to bleed out any second now. Her heart was beating fast and the last thing she saw was the teenager sitting in the back seat, her hands over her face, sobbing. Holly noticed the girl had a few bruises

Very good, it captured my attention, and was very well written. I’d like to know what happens next.
