Is It Normal To Have A Hard Time Digesting Lots Of Vegetables?
I’ve been trying to eat more healthily and have increased the quantity of vegetables I eat. Last night I had roasted vegetables with couscous and a piece of fish and a big salad for lunch. I’ve been bloated ever since.
If this is supposed to be good for me, why is my stomach reacting in this way? Could I have allergies to some of these foods (which I normally eat regularly, though in lesser quantities)?

eating a lot of very high fibre foods (vegetables), especially when your body isn’t quite used to it often causes bloating. this is due to the digestion process occurring in your body which generally releases a lot of gas. any significant changes to your diet should be made gradually as you may cause yourself to have diarrhea, flatulence etc. drink plenty of water and give it at least a week to settle down now that you’ve made the change.

Check with your doctor, and I suggest drink milk, and not so many vegetables, my husband can not digest vegetables either.
