Yum! If you put butter in it, it makes the whole thing a lot easier. But if you don’t, then you can chop the garlic to the size of your like, then if you are making the bread as well, you can mix the garlic with the mass to make the bread. Most people puts other spises in it too :)

I buy the baguette loaves, mix garlic paste or crushed garlic(to your taste) in enough butter to do the whole loaf. Slice & spread loaf, wrap in foil & put in fridge or freezer till butter gets hard.Heat for around 5mins, then turn back foil at the top & heat for further 2 mins till crunchy on top.

Go out and buy some bread, then make a garlic and butter combination, you dice up the garlic so it’s fine. Let it simmer in the butter for a few minutes on medium, you want the flavor of the garlic to come out into the butter. Then take a pastry brush and brush the butter combo on the bread and bake it.

Buy a loaf of fresh french bread from the store. Paint it with a garlic salt/butter mixtue, and toast it in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the butter melts and the top is a light golden colour.

Take a loaf of french bread and cut it in half lengthwise and place each onto a cookie sheet.
In a small sauce pan, melt 1 stick of butter and add italian seasoning and minced fresh garlic (to taste). Brush the butter sauce evenly over the bread and place under a broiler until toasted. Remove and cut into personal portions and serve.

Use a French or Italian loaf
Cut in half……crush 1 clove of garlic, or 2 if you like….add some butter….I also like to put Parmesan cheese on mine and a little oregano. Brush a little butter on top.
Wrap in foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Use butter or margarine on bread. Sprinkle garlic powder and a little bit of oregano. Place on cookie sheet. Set oven for 300 degrees. Let it bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

Justin Wilson has suggested, you take a fresh loaf (typically available from your grocer’s bakery area); typically a “french loaf”, split it open, get you some either whole garlic, or some premade garlic, usually in some type of can, and mix it up with either some butter or margarine. Let the butter get to room temperature, (let it sit out on your counter) then mix it up with the garlic (and you can add more or less according to your tastes), once the garlic and butter are well mixed, spread it on BOTH sides of the bread (for maximum flavor) and you can either bake it in the oven, or roast it on the barbecue grill.
    SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS:
1 16-ounce loaf of Italian bread or French bread
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
2 large cloves of garlic, smashed and minced
1 heaping tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
    Method 1 – Toasted
    1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
2 Cut the bread in half, horizontally. Mix the butter, garlic, and parsley together in a small bowl. Spread butter mixture over the the two bread halves. Place on a sturdy baking pan (one that can handle high temperatures, not a cookie sheet) and heat in the oven for 10 minutes.
3 Remove pan from oven. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over bread if you want. Return to oven on the highest rack. Broil on high heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges of the bread begin to toast and the cheese (if you are using cheese) bubbles. Watch very carefully while broiling. The bread can easily go from un-toasted to burnt.
4 Remove from oven, let cool a minute. Remove from pan and make 1-inch thick slices. Serve immediately.
    Method 2 – Soft
Preheat oven to 350°F. Make the butter, garlic, parsley mixture as above. Make 1-inch thick slices into the bread, but do not go all the way through, just to the bottom crust. Put a teaspoon or two of the butter mixture between each slice. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and heat for 15 minutes in the oven.

1 (1 pound) loaf unsliced French bread
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
    1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
2 large cloves fresh garlic, crushed and minced finely
    paprika
    PREPARATION:
Cut French bread loaf into 1-inch thick slices, but not quite all the way through. Combine butter, parsley, and garlic, stirring well; spread between bread slices. Sprinkle each slice with a little paprika, if desired.
Reassemble the loaf; wrap in aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes.

    Easy way:
    - French bread cut lengthwise and in half
    - Brush melted butter on top
    - Rub garlic powder right on top
    - Pop in oven using the “broil” setting for about 10 minutes (or until golden brown and slightly crispy)
    A little harder way:
    - French bread cut lengthwise and in half
    - Press garlic using garlic press (2-3 cloves will do) and stir into melted butter
    - spread garlic butter on bread
    - Pop in oven using the “broil” setting for about 10 minutes (or until golden brown and slightly crispy)

I sautee a couple of tablespoons of garlic in about 6 tablespoons of butter, then brush the melted butter on french bread and toast it.
