How Can I Kill A 30-40 Foot Pine Tree By Using Too Much Fertilizer?
How much would I need to use? How long would it take? Can you recommend a brand?
How long should it take?
I have reasons for wanting the tree dead. The tree is mine. Also, I don’t want to harm the environment.
Thank you, in advance, for your help.

I believe you should get a professional to remove the tree.
If you kill it, it may take years to become so weak that it falls and during that time a storm may knock it down or it may fall on it’s own because you can never tell when a rotting tree will fall. It may injure or kill someone or destroy or damage property.
Pay someone to remove the bothersome tree.
thanks

Fertilizer will not kill that large of a tree.
Your only way is to have it cut down or to suffocate it. That will take about a year or so.
What I mean by this, we had a concrete driveway put down around a very tall tree, oak, about the same, and in a year it was dying. Very sad….
Finally had to have it cut down.

The fertilizer won’t kill the tree. If you want it dead, you can either cut it down or girdle it. Cutting, of course, is an immediate solution. To girdle the tree, peel the bark all the way around the trunk at about 3 feet off the ground. After peeling away the bark, you should cut into the wood about an inch deep and cut this away all around the tree. Keep in mind this method WILL kill the tree, albeit very slowly. And when the tree falls, you cannot predict which direction it will fall or when it will fall. My advice, hire someone to cut it, or cut it down yourself.
