I would only prepare fresh and this site has a good “veggie mush” recipe and idea for storage:http://www.rawdognranch.com

you can buy kelp in powdered form (norweigan kelp i believe) canned veggies have no nutritional value……
have you ever read the ingredients label on a bag of CANIDAE, TIMBERWOLF, CHICKEN SOUP FOR DOG LOVERS?>>>> you may find that is better for your dog and includes many ingredients that you cannot afford to buy… please check it out

I use raw vegetables rather than canned as the canning process can sometimes makes the vitamins less potent because of the heat involved.
Kelp to my knowledge does not come canned, but it does come dried.
A great dog supplement with kelp is Longevity and you can order it here: http://springtimeinc.com/product/172/2
It also has a lot of other natural sources of vitamins and minerals. My dogs love it.

I have fantastic news for you! You do not have to feed veggies at all!! We feed a raw diet which is different from the BARF diet in that Ian Billinghurst BARF diet calls for a lot of veggie matter when infact dogs do not gain any benefit to eating veggies at all. They are true carnivores. If you would like more info on this subject you can look here:http://rawfed.com/myths/

You can also check out the Raw feeding pages on my web site. We have been feeding Raw for almost 5 years now and we do not do veg for the last 4!!

I understand the concept of raw feeding, but quite honestly it is much easier for you (and the dog) to just get a high quality dog food and feed that. You will know for sure that your animal is getting the proper nutrition, and it will free up more time to spend with your dog instead of doing food prep.
And I would have to say that no, kelp doesn’t come in a can.
